Ruffian Lift-In

The Ruffian made it back to it's mooring on Thursday May 12. Thanks to Damien, Peter, Aidan, Keith, Noel and everyone else who helped to get the boat ship-shape

Ruffian Re-fit

This winter two new forward berths were fitted in the Ruffian cabin and a new chart table. The boat can now sleep 4 for overnights, and you can all practice those navigation skills on the new table. There were also new masthead lights and an electronic windex fitted in case it's dark and you can see were the wind is. We plan to organise more weekend trips away so you will have the chance to play with all these new toys.

Carlingford Trip - June Bank Holiday Weekend

After last years ventures to Wicklow & Arklow, there will be an expedition North to Carlingford and various ports of call on the East coast on the upcoming holiday weekend (June 2-3-4). Please contact Damien if you are interested.

Training

You can claim a e50 rebate on your membership fee if you complete a Powerboat or VHF training course. Every member of the club should have a powerboat cert, and anyone who sails on the Ruffian should do the VHF course.

Membership

We currently have 42 members, which is roughly the same at this stage last year. May & June are our busiest months for new members so spread the word. Remember you can bring your friends down for a guest session for only e20 if they would like to try sailing. If you can promote the club in any way e.g. workplace poster, please do.
